Hi Rob,
What a fabulous web site! I am Charlie O'Neill's wife and I really enjoyed your gig with him & Kelleigh last Sat. Can you give me a ball park price for you to create a painting for Charlie's teaching studio? I don't know if you have been there, but we are redecorating it and I would love to have your art work there. I know that you will need more info. but if you tell me what you need, I would love to commission a piece. That is, unless you have something already that would be appropriate for a guitar studio.
Thanks, Diane

Meet you outside for some basketball and Iron Maiden playing on the speakers in the windows which are open so that we can hear them while shooting the mudfoot shot. SWISH!

Dear Rob,
Don't know if this will reach you but I'll give it a shot. I just wanted to tell you that you did a great job singing backup on Alison Pipitone's "Tigerbabies" cd. Your voice fits perfectly with hers. You melded right into the songs, feeling them, connecting to the lyrics.
Just an awesome sound to the vocals.
From a diehard, forever Alison Pipitone fan who is now also a Rob Lynch fan,

The show was great! I love the sound you get from the guitar (what was that box on the chair?). The over all effect of the reverb, sound effects, and inclusions of old familiar pop songs captures the primitive appeal of radio. It's like you're driving cross country alone late at nite in the middle of nowhere, and you stumble on to a faint radio station that you can't quit tune in but you can't quit tune out, a ghost station that comes and goes, voices from space. While your songs are thematically somewhat reminiscent of early John Prine, he is depressing and you are not, your songs are more of a glimpse at distant lives, shrinking time and space. I hope you decide to explore this art form further. Thanks for letting me know about it, and please keep me informed. I also dug Guillermo.

I had a dream last night that Rob Lynch was bitching at me because I play too many "train licks" on the gig. My response to him was something like "WELL, I keep my pet peeves about YOU to mySELF!"

So I had this dream last night that I was at work, and
for some reason I had a 8-pack of Bounty paper towels.
I was walking down the hallway and looked at the
towels, and printed on the side of the packaging was a
picture of you!
I showed the towels to Chris Cosgrave, who doesn't work
there. . .

Friday October 28th... Under the smoke of the fryers the gentle smell of haddock fills the room as the impenetrable beauty of Lynch's drum stick taps overwhelm the belly-full audience... a few dance... a few hit the restroom...

I had an above average time listening to your above average set at an above average nightspot with an above average bill. Nice work...my girlfriend dug it, said it would be good to **** to. I told her that while she may be right, that I was afraid that I would keep envisioning you during coitus. Does this mean that I have an unusual crush on you...that's for you to decide my friend.
Cheers,
Scott

Rob Lynch takes the sharpness of Max Beckmann's figure drawings and dips them into Philip Guston's abstractions, then adds a touch of Sargent just to piss you off. This is the way music should be approached...like colors, shapes, and textures on a canvas.
